A New Treatment of Urban Solid Waste

From 21 to 23 of June  El Ceibo will be presenting in Miami (USA) at the ELEVENTH INTERAMERICAN CONFERENCE OF MAYORS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES, as a guest of IAF– Inter America Foundation.

El Ceibo has developed  A Model of  Management: ONG - Local Government – Companies – National Government – Civil Society – which is unique in Latin America as generator of Social Integration and inclusive public politics, innovative proposals, and new legislative regime in the City regarding the RSU.

El Ceibo will also participate in the Conference “THE SOCIETY OF COMUNITARY DEVELOPMENT” in Baltimore, Maryland, June 27 to 29; it will explain ts Socio-Environmental Program  “El Ceibo reclaims Palermo”. This will include how to  dignify and integrate citizens with economics difficulties, recovery of urban waste, environmental education, health promotion, family income, net production, recyclers, promoters, donors, collectors, and commercialization. “Separation at the origin generates work and environmental conscience”.

 “El Ceibo” appointed to the General Coordinator of the Program, Ms. Cristina Lescano as their representative. She will travel to USA on June 19, 2005. We wish her great success - we are also very grateful to the society, NGOs, Companies, Neighbors, Media and Public Officials – who currently help us to spread new treatment of urban solid waste in our city. This doesn’t mean only “clean the city” but oxygenate and decontaminate it for future generations.
